S. Clyde Weaver Smoked Meats and Cheese in East Petersburg is opening up its cheese cellar and making a 25-year-old cheddar available for tasting — for a cause.

From 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 4, the store will be offering 5-ounce cuts of the aged Weaver cheddar in exchange for donations to Manheim-based nonprofit Hope Served.

The mission of Hope Served is to help adults with disabilities connect with resources they need to secure their successful futures: employment skills, housing, community networks and more.

The aged cheese will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. There will also be door prizes and giveaways, music and games in the Weaver parking lot and samples of Weaver products throughout the store.

Weaver’s is at 5253 Manheim Pike, East Petersburg.
