James Bernadin

Lancaster boxer James Bernadin fights Ivan Jimenez for the NABF super lightweight championship on May 20, 2023, at 2300 Arena in Philadelphia. It was a split decision defeat for Bernadin.

James “No Chill” Bernadin (10-2) is looking to break his two-fight losing streak Friday when he faces off against Osvaldo Morales (5-3) at The Wind Creek Events Center in Bethlehem.

The two last fought in June 2021, and the win went to Bernadin. The rematch is part of a stacked undercard put together by King’s Promotions and is scheduled for six rounds.

In August, Bernadin, a lightweight who trains at Lancaster City Boxing Academy, went eight full rounds with Estivan Falcao (13-2), but lost via a close (and hotly debated) unanimous decision.

Friday’s fight is Bernadin’s first since his defeat.

The main event of the evening features undefeated super featherweight Julian “Gifted” Gonzalez (11-0) of Reading in his first headlining bout, where he’ll take on Juan Antonio Lopez (17-15).

Fights begin at 7 p.m. Tickets are priced at $50, $100 and $150.
