Gerald D. Kulp, 75, of Reinholds, and formerly of Manheim; died peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at Penn State Hershey Medical Center. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Raymond and Mary Hostetter Kulp. Jerry was the loving husband of Cynthia D. "Cindy" Kulp, and they would have observed their 51stwedding anniversary on June 9th of this year.
Dedicated and driven to provide excellent service, to businesses throughout the region, Jerry was Co-Founder, President, and Head of Sales, for J & J Material Handling Systems, Manheim. A proud veteran, Jerry served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a 1966 graduate of Manheim Central High School; and was an active and faithful member of St. Paul's Evangelical Congregational Church, Reamstown.
Community was very important to Jerry, he was one of the founding members of the Manheim Touchdown Club, served on the board for the Manheim Athletic Association, active with the Manheim Central Football Booster Club, and was past President and Director of the Manheim Sertoma Club, and a member of the Manheim Masonic Lodge. His interests included rooting for his New York Yankees, golfing with friends or playing tennis, and spending time at North Myrtle Beach. Jerry's deepest passion was his family; cherishing time with his wife, children, and grandchildren were his huge love. He felt so blessed to be part of a loving family.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Cindy, are two sons: Douglas Kulp of Akron, Matthew R. husband of Christina Kulp of Sinking Springs, four grandchildren: Ben, Ellie, Sarah, Hannah Kulp, a brother, Larry husband of Linda Kulp of Cheyenne, WY, and two sisters-in-law: Mary Kulp of Lancaster, and Janice Kulp of Arizona. Preceding him in death are four brothers: Donald, Sterling, Wilbur, Bruce, and a sister, Sylvia Young.
Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend Jerry's Celebration of Life Service from the Manheim Brethren In Christ Church, 54 North Penryn Road, Manheim, on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Friends may visit with the family at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim, on Monday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Friends may also visit with the family at the church on Tuesday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in Manheim Fairview Cemetery.
