Penn Township hit and run

Police are investigating a hit and run that killed a boy Thursday evening on the 200 block of West Sun Hill Road in Penn Township.

Northern Lancaster County Regional police have identified the driver they say hit a Rapho Township teenager in Penn Township last week, causing his death.

Police said the driver was Mikayla Victoria Mustard, 23, of Harrisburg. Investigators have custody of the white Nissan Maxima they say was involved in the crash, and the incident is still under investigation. As of Wednesday afternoon, no charges had been filed.

On May 2 just after 9:30 p.m., emergency crews responded to West Sun Hill Road and Loghes Drive for a report of a medical emergency.

Curtis Groff, 16, was found at the scene, appearing to have been hit by a vehicle, which no longer was on scene, police said. The Lancaster County Coroner’s Office determined Groff died of multiple traumatic injuries and ruled his death accidental.

A phone number for Mustard wasn’t found Wednesday afternoon.
