Patricia (Pat) Luona Groff Wirth, 92, of Lancaster, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 7, 2024. She had been ill for the past year and was under hospice care for the past two months.
Born in Lancaster, PA, Pat was born on August 7, 1931 to the late John L. Groff and the late Edna M. Riker Groff.
She was predeceased by her one and only love of her life, Richard Lewis Wirth. They were childhood sweethearts and they celebrated 66 years of marriage until he passed in 2016. She was also preceded in death by her brothers: Harry (Skip) Groff while serving in the U.S. Army in 1949 and John J. Groff in 2009.
Pat is survived by her sons, Richard (Ellen Sloane) Wirth, Jr., of Lancaster, PA, Randy (Kathy) Wirth, of Lancaster, PA, her daughter, Sharon (Doug) Rambler of Manheim, PA; four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Pat was a vibrant wonderful person with a BIG heart. She never said a bad word about anybody and treated everyone with love and respect and always had a big smile. She loved to play bingo, do jigsaw puzzles, and most of all spending time with family.
Friends and family are invited to attend Pat's Funeral Service at The Groffs Family Funeral Home, 528 W. Orange Street, Lancaster, PA on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. with Chaplain Rita Carter officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be held at Conestoga Memorial Park.
