Ronks native Jonathan Groff walked the “red carpet” (which was actually green and white) at the Met Gala Monday night.

This year’s spring fashion exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art is “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion,” and the dress code for the evening was “The Garden of Time,” inspired by the short story by JG Ballard.

Esquire and British GQ both counted Groff among the best-dressed men of the night, for his crimson flower-adorned suit with matching brooch by Simone Rocha. (We like to imagine that's a nod to Lancaster's title as the Red Rose City.)

As British GQ put it: “Another Very Famous Man to join the Very Good Brooch club.”

And Groff isn't a new member to that club. At the 2024 gala, he wore a large gold brooch as part of his Bode-and-Chanel look.
