The following Democrats and Republicans running for state and national office were unopposed in the primary. If none are beaten by a write-in candidate, all will move on to the Nov. 5 general election.

Write-in results should be tallied by Friday, according to Lancaster County election officials.

National races

U.S. Senate

Sen. Robert P. Casey Jr., of Scranton, Lackawanna County, will compete for his fourth six-year term against Republican Dave McCormick, a former hedge fund CEO from Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, in the fall.

11th Congressional District

Republican U.S. Rep. Lloyd Smucker, of West Lampeter Township, is seeking his fifth two-year term and will face Democrat Jim Atkinson, a Lancaster city airline pilot, in November. The 11th District includes all of Lancaster County and the southern half of York County.

State races

13th Senate District

Republican state Rep. Scott Martin, of Martic Township, is seeking his third four-year term. He will run unopposed in the general election unless a Democratic write-in candidate generated 500 votes in the primary. Trex Proffitt, a Lancaster Township resident and teacher at Lancaster Friends School, waged a campaign to do so.

Tallies for specific write-in candidates were not available Tuesday. Lancaster County officials said those results should be counted and posted to the county elections website by Friday. The 13th District spans southern and eastern Lancaster County, including Lancaster city, and reaches into the southern tip of Berks County.

37th House District

Republican state Rep. Mindy Fee, of Manheim Borough, will vie for her seventh two-year term against Democrat John George, a Lititz Borough resident and former Warwick School District superintendent, in the fall. The 37th District comprises Manheim and Lititz boroughs and Rapho, Penn, Elizabeth, Warwick and Clay townships.

41st House District

Republican state Rep. Brett R. Miller, of East Hempfield Township, will face Democrat Brad Chambers, a Columbia Borough labor administrator, in the general election, as Miller looks to secure a sixth two-year term. The 41st District includes Columbia and Mountville boroughs, East and West Hempfield townships and the northeast corner of Manor Township.

43rd House District

Republican state Rep. Keith J. Greiner, of Upper Leacock Township, is seeking his seventh two-year term and will run unopposed in November. The 43rd District includes Akron, Ephrata and New Holland boroughs and Ephrata, Earl, West Earl Leacock and Upper Leacock townships.

49th House District

State Rep. Izzy Smith-Wade-El, of Lancaster city, is seeking his second two-year term and will run unopposed in the fall. The 49th District includes Millersville Borough, Lancaster Township and the southern half of Lancaster city.

96th House District

State Rep. Mike Sturla, of Lancaster city, is one of the longest-tenured legislators in the state House and will vie for his 18th two-year term in the general election. Republican Eric Beezer, a Manheim Township store owner who sells hemp-derived CBD products, will look to unseat him. The 96th District includes East Petersburg Borough, the western two-thirds of Manheim Township and the northern half of Lancaster city.

97th House District

Republican Rep. Steven C. Mentzer, of Manheim Township, will face Democrat Bob Rudy, a West Lampeter Township online radio show host, in November. Mentzer is seeking his seventh two-year term. The 97th District includes Conestoga, Pequea and East and West Lampeter townships, as well as most of Manor Township and the eastern third of Manheim Township.

98th House District

Tom Jones, of East Donegal Township, is seeking his second two-year term. He will run unopposed in the general election unless a write-in candidate generated 300 votes Tuesday. Lynn McCleary, a retired nurse who lives in Mount Joy Borough, waged a campaign to do so.

Write-in results for specific candidates should be counted and posted to the county elections website by Friday, according to county officials.

The 98th District spans northwestern Lancaster and southwestern Lebanon counties. It includes the boroughs of Elizabethtown, Marietta and Mount Joy, and the townships of Conoy, Mount Joy and East and West Donegal in Lancaster County; and Mount Gretna Borough and South Londonderry and South Annville townships in Lebanon County.

99th House District

Republican Rep. David Zimmerman, of East Earl Township, is seeking his sixth two-year term and will run unopposed in the fall. The 99th District spans northeastern Lancaster County and southwestern Berks County. It includes Adamstown, Denver and Terre Hill boroughs, the northeastern third of Salisbury Township, and East and West Cocalico, Brecknock, Caernarvon and East Earl townships in Lancaster County; as well as Mohnton Borough and Spring, Cumru and Brecknock townships in Berks County.

National convention delegates

The Democratic National Committee will hold its nominating convention Aug. 19-22 at the United Center in Chicago. The Republican National Committee will hold its nominating convention July 15-18 at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee. The following delegates will represent the 11th Congressional District at their respective conventions.

Democrats: Janet Diaz, Lancaster; state Rep. Izzy Smith-Wade-El, Lancaster; Danene Sorace, Lancaster; Tom O’Brien, Manheim Township; and Efrem Magtagnob, East Hempfield Township.

Republicans: Mike Jones, York Township, York County; U.S. Rep. Lloyd Smucker, West Lampeter Township; and S. Kirk Radanovic, Penn Township.

Republican alternates: Sharon L. Ogilvie, Elizabethtown; Bryant J. Glick, New Holland; and Jenna I. Geesey, Upper Leacock Township.
