Daniel Sidney Mosemann, Sr., 87, of Lancaster, PA, went home to meet his Savior on May 3, 2024. He was born on September 9, 1936, in Lancaster County, PA, to the late Daniel F. Mosemann and Mary Mosemann (Garber).
Dan, also known to many as Sid, served in the U.S. Navy and retired honorably in 1974. Using his GI Bill benefits, he completed a bachelor's degree in Christian Education at Lancaster Bible College in 1979. He subsequently embarked on a second career as a much sought after service technician for Ecolab, retiring after 17 years.
He was a beloved member of Salem Bible Church in New Holland, PA, where he served with joy and enthusiasm. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed many seasons of hunting and fishing with friends. He also loved to drive for pleasure and as a service to his Amish friends. Dan was well known for helping his neighbors, tinkering with engines, and being able to fix just about anything.
Dan is survived by his loving wife, Marian Mosemann (Ruggiero), his son Daniel S. Mosemann, Jr. (Lorri); his daughter Mary-Jo Towns (Rob); his sister Martha Herr (Don); his sister Elizabeth Warren; and by a niece, three nephews, two grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father; mother; and son, Donn Mosemann.
Funeral services will be held at Salem Bible Church, 590 Voganville Road in New Holland, PA on Friday, May 10th. Viewing hours are from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. with a service to follow. Guests are invited to join in a light lunch after the service.
Dan will be remembered for his dedication to his country, his faith, and most importantly, his family.
