There’s no better time to celebrate Maytown than May.

That’s why businesses, vendors and community members came together Saturday for Mayfest, the annual celebration of both the historic and modern-day Maytown, located about 3 miles northwest of Marietta.

Highlights included the annual maypole celebration, historical characters, 100 vendors selling handmade goods, live art demonstrations, food trucks and more.

This event was a collaboration between the Maytown Historical Society and the Shank Shoppe.
