Attendees watch the Patriotic Parade in Lititz Tuesday, July 4, 2023.

All components of Lititz's 2024 Fourth of July celebration will take place on the same day, organizers announced this week.

Previously, events were held over a two-day period. In 2023, that was July 3 and 4.

This year, though, all July 4 events will take place on the holiday itself. The decision was made "in order to minimize the impact on streets, residents, and public resources," according to a post on Lititz Springs Park's Facebook page

Tickets to the event will go on sale around June 1 and be available until 9:30 p.m. July 4. Pre-sales end at 8 p.m. July 3. During pre-sale, tickets cost $13 for adults (ages 11 and up), $5 for kids ages 3-10 and free for kids ages 2 and under. Tickets at the gate will cost $15 for adults (ages 11 and up), $5 for kids ages 3-10 and free for kids ages 2 and under.

Gates will open at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 4, at which time attendees will be allowed to reserve a spot on the field for fireworks, play games and patronize more than 20 food vendors.

The theme for 2024 is Take Flight, featuring demonstrations and activities involving pilots from the U.S. Air Force, Air National Guard, Civil Air Patrol and more.

The Lititz Lions Club Patriotic Parade will begin at Main and Oak streets at 1 p.m., ending at Warwick High School.

Entertainment will begin in the park at 3 p.m., and the Queen of Candles program and candle lighting will begin at 8:30 p.m.

"This change will make the holiday in downtown Lititz a streamlined destination, as well as help to reduce the overtime hours for our first responders and allow them to enjoy more time with their families on the holiday," the Facebook post reads.

The rain date is Friday, July 5. For more information, visit lititz4thofjuly.com.
